Jakir Hossain

I am Jakir Hossain,

a freelance software engineer working on android application development. I also write and travel. Being a freelancer, these two things became easy for me. I have a blog about technology, programming and travelling. I also wrote a book on programming, called “C Programming”. From childhood, I was very much interested in computers. I wanted to know how it worked and where everything in it was. That’s how I got into computer science, which is now both – my passion and profession.

I started working as a freelancer on Odesk in 2011. I also worked on Elance. The platforms have been merged into Upwork, where I am working on a few projects with fixed clients. I get payments from them, as well as some passive income from my own apps. Most of my clients are from the USA and Canada. I work with only five clients at one time and almost all my transactions are around these five people. I used to face delays in payments. I also tried wire transfers. Since the beginning of my career, I have been using Payoneer.

I was looking for a payment solution where my clients can pay me without any complications, I can withdraw payments in my own currency anytime and use the same payment method even when I go out of the country – all of which I get from Payoneer.

I heard about Payoneer from Odesk, now Upwork. Payoneer was mentioned as a payment withdrawal option. I opened my Payoneer account from Odesk and have been using Payoneer ever since. Receiving payment from marketplaces, direct clients and withdrawing payments in local currency, bank transfer from Payoneer and being able to use Payoneer card anywhere in the world are the best things from Payoneer for me.

The goal is working as a freelancer, travelling the world as much as possible and spending the rest of my life with my beloved person.
